Prominent personality

Shahid Chand Dewan was one of those who came to spread Islam during the reign of Hazrat Shah Jalal. This region was a Hindu region. He built a shelter here. The village was named Chandpur after him. It is said that he came to spread religion and was martyred here. And his grave is given here. Since then, this place is known as the shrine of Shah Sufi Auliya Syed Chand Dewan Sahib. Since ancient times, many people have been cured of many diseases by taking the soil of this shrine. And they have got the result of any problem. Therefore, everyone respects the shrine and has succeeded in making vows at the shrine. Many enlightening events are known about the shrine. The people of this region have a lot of devotion to the shrine and look at it with respect. There was a big banyan tree on the grave of Shah Sufi Auliya Syed Chand Dewan Sahib. And after the main tree died, the saplings became banyan trees and now the saplings have grown quite big. At one time, many people used to pay homage to his grave while passing by his shrine and visit his grave. At one time, Kichu Vedas took some sticks of chalk to the shrine while passing by the shrine. And after going to the shelter of Panti village and cooking rice with those sticks and eating them, they all got diarrhea. Then they put the sticks of chalk in the shrine and after apologizing and paying homage to the shrine, they all got better. It is also heard that a person did not respect his shrine while coming from Panti, and later in his dream, Shah Sufi Auliya Syed Chand Dewan Sahib said, "You did not respect my shrine." Then that person came to the shrine and paid homage to the shrine and gave some money to the shrine. From that time on, no one took any tree, wood, chalk, or anything else from this shrine.
