NGOs


An NGO is a non-governmental organization that is usually non-profit and conducts various developmental activities independently of government control.

In short, NGOs are organizations that work to solve various problems in society without the government.

In more detail, NGOs typically perform the following functions:

Poverty Alleviation: Adopts and implements various programs to improve the living standards of the poor.

Healthcare: Conducts various health awareness activities and provides healthcare.

Education: Works to expand education, such as establishing schools, training teachers, providing scholarships, etc.

Employment Creation: Efforts are made to increase people's income through various training and employment activities.

It also works to solve various social problems such as environmental protection.

NGOs usually receive funding from various domestic and foreign organizations or individuals. Currently, more than 2,000 NGOs are engaged in various development activities in Bangladesh.
