UP Health Center (Union Health and Family Welfare Center) is a health care center at the union (Union Parishad) level in Bangladesh. It is under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and is run under the supervision of the Upazila Health Complex. These centers generally provide primary health care, such as: vaccination, maternal and child health care, disease prevention and control activities, and general health counseling. In short, the Union Health Center is an important place for providing health care at the grassroots level. The main functions of the UP Health Center are: Providing treatment and counseling for common diseases. Healthcare for pregnant mothers and children. Conducting vaccination programs for various diseases. Conducting public health awareness activities. Providing family planning advice and services. Providing necessary medicines for primary health care. In addition to these, the UP Health Center conducts various activities according to the health needs of the local people.
