KABIKHA is a full form, meaning "Food for Work" program. It is a scheme for the poor people in rural areas, which helps in the construction and rehabilitation of rural infrastructure damaged by natural disasters, as well as creating employment and ensuring food security in the rural economy. In short, the main objectives of the KABIKHA program are: To construct and rehabilitate rural infrastructure (roads, dams, etc.) damaged by natural disasters. To create employment in rural areas, especially for the poor. To increase the income of the rural poor. To ensure food security and help in poverty alleviation. To improve the standard of living of the rural people. Under this program, workers receive food grains or cash in exchange for their work. Therefore, the KABIKHA program plays an important role in improving the standard of living of the rural poor and alleviating poverty.
